Helping people is the core of Jane Crawford’s life purpose. When she decided to start her own company, she searched for a business model that would align with that initiative. The asset inventory industry was a perfect fit. She knows of people who have endured losses from thefts and fires, and wants to contribute to helping this not happen to others. “Completing a valuable task to help protect my clients is fulfilling for me. Knowing that I’ll bring some peace of mind to someone gives me peace of mind.”
Jane doesn’t just say she likes to help people; her commitment to family and community displays her personal mission quite well. She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor Degree in Science and a Minor in Business and went on to complete her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Indianapolis.
Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jane and her husband, Louis, have made Zionsville, Indiana their home since 2005. She has taken an active role volunteering her time in the community and at her daughter’s school. She is Past-President of the Zeta Sigma Chapter of Tri Kappa and has served at the state level, most recently serving on the Tri Kappa State Nominating Committee. From 2009 to 2014, she served on the Planning Committee for The Caring Hands Camp, a camp dedicated to teaching children about volunteerism, through the Boys and Girls Club of Zionsville. Jane also served as a board member at Families First from 2013 to 2015, an organization devoted to help form and maintain strong family units in the community. Currently, Jane serves as a board member at Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre in Carmel, IN.
Numerous hours are also reserved for her daughter’s activities. Jane participates in various capacities at her daughter’s school, and was selected to the position of Executive Council for the School Association at Sycamore both in 2014 and 2015. She also served as a Girl Scout leader for her daughter’s troop for several years.
During the research and start-up phase of her business, she was surprised to learn of the many other reasons for a home or business inventory in addition to disaster recovery. Gaining this insight created an even stronger focus to serve others through her inventory service.
Balancing her family and community commitments, Jane chooses to nurture her business goals as well. She is a graduate of Boone County Leadership 2011 and has achieved her Certified Inventory Specialist designation from the National Inventory Certification Association.
